We continue to take Michelle to one of the local Thai Buddhist temples to keep her fluent in Thai and teaching her the ABC’s of the Thailand language as well as traditional Thai customs. She goes to the Houston Children's Museum and participates in various other activities with kids from her school and the Thai Temple.

This year there were several storms of note this year and we lost power for about 4 days and internet for 2 weeks as a tree branch damaged the fiber optic to the house
Michelle completed 1st grade school year and is now in second grade. The school year started out understaffed and class size was 30 kids in the second grade. The school district finally authorized an additional 2nd grade teacher which was supposed to be a win - however - later in the year it was exposed that there was a scandal of sorts and number of the school districts teachers had falsified teaching certificates. I voiced my feelings to the school principal via e-mail and received no response.
Tay has now signed up with the local community college and will start proper English language courses in January 2025. Her interview for citizenship is in January of 2025 and hopefully she will become a US citizen soon.
As noted last year the job transitioned to the New Orleans area last year. I return to Houston every-other week. Lots of driving and Interstate 10 can become a parking lot at times.
The plant that I am involved with is progressing very well and is now in production of LNG and is making money for the stake holders. We still have phase 2 to complete. I am really working for benefits and thinking once Tay is a citizen that I will retire.
It has been a busy year. I hope all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New and an even better 2025.
